Quiet, (A Haiku)

Peaceful is the dawn

Morning frost is hovering

Sunshine cuts the ice

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Thank you Laura, I do enjoy the process of Haiku’s, and finding a suitable photo and music/video is half the fun for me 📷🎶💙🌏

  1. “Sunshine cuts the ice,” I love that line. I guess you are deep into winter and we are deep into summer. We are experiencing temps in the high 90’s (farenheit) with high humidity so that it feels like it’s 105 degree plus. Next weekend, we’re supposed to have highs in the 100’s. So a little ice sounds really nice right now! Wonderful Haiku! Mona
