G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

John was/is a genius his thoughts were way before others and unfortunately got him killed. I would like to imagine his world and thoughts of peace and love. Harmony pray for major changes here on earth. Bless you Ivor
Yes I grew with John’s philosophies in my mind, and he was an enlightening influence on our generation… peace and harmony to you Nanette.. ๐๐๐
One of my fav songs!
And your poem is brilliant!
You ask such an important question, Ivor.
I think Mr. Lennon would be sad to find out how the world has not changed much since his passing…and in some ways the world is taking steps backwards. ๐ฆ His words were so wise, so right on, so needed. Quite the poet was he. ๐
HUGS!!! ๐
His philosophies had a big influence on me early in life, and I think that has been a good thing… ((Hugs))…my small tribute to John… and I shall always “imagine”
One can only wonder. With current songs singing about hate and kill the popo and whatever else, you wonder if our lyrics are turning us in a new direction.
it is one of my favorite songs/poems
