G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Very amusing poem, Ivor. Today I was in Walmart and saw several people not wearing masks or respecting social distancing…and acting very obnoxopus about it too. I told the clerk I will be shopping at Publix next time since they require all customers to wear masks! π
That’s the way, show Walmart how irresponsible they are too !!…. Haha I was having a go at myself, for when I absentmindedly forget to put my mask on… I believe people who don’t wear a mask are selfish, rude, arrogant and ignorant about the health of fellow citizens around them…
Your dog balls made me chuckle out loud. Love it Ivor. You used to get arrested if you went into a bank with mask on…. now you get arrested if you don’t have a mask!!
Haha .. these are strange days now out west here in Australia.. . and even stranger, here I am at home with my apron on, doing the vacuuming, changing the linen, and doing 2 loads of washing, … my quill has been stolen by the green witch’s broom… π¦ΉββοΈπ€’
Thanks Kate about tonight.. although my channel 7 does’t get good reception… I’m usually at a Saturday afternoon BBQ, and don’t have to worry,… everything’s different this year… and I hear it might be a waterpolo match at the moment… !!
This one caught me off guard, the dog balls made me laugh. π Personally, I like the masks, they hide my jowls π (I mean, they protect to, but hiding the jowls is a nice side effect (as you will see in my blog).
“Dog balls”…HAHAHAHA! π Even Cooper laughed! π π
Keep wearin’ the mask, Ivor! I know even with it on, people can see your eyes that are smiling! π
HUGS!!! π

What a fun poem, though the circumstances are so real! It is still easy to forget or misplace your mask…
