Tomorrow’s Sky

Floating on my bed of rhyme

I continued to drift in dream time

Reaching out through the window

I imagined what I could borrow

From the worldโ€™s future of sorrow

And beyond the blue horizon

On the edge of the Indian Ocean

I grabbed a piece of tomorrowโ€™s sky

Strange, the feeling dazzled my eyes

Then I spied a bright azure hue of daylight

And in the neon view was an ancient site

Natureโ€™s unperturbed, โ€œThe Great Australian Bightโ€

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. โ€˜The worldโ€™s future of sorrowโ€™ – I fear it could well be ๐Ÿ˜ณ for some it already is! I would, nevertheless love to see the Great Australian Bight!

    1. The Great Australian Bight is still on my bucket list. .. I have not gone any further west than Adelaide ๐ŸŒ the Bight is one of our worldโ€™s pristine areas. . The drive across the Nullarbor from Adelaide to Perth is 2595 km and takes 27 hrs ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŒ
