G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I find this so beautiful, Ivor! Your poem and Lisa’s song and voice! The combo lull and cause dreamy sighs. Sounds like a perfect Sunday afternoon. π
Ooh…”slithery moon”…conjures up such vivid images! π
HUGS!!! π
Definitely a dreamy Sunday afternoon, spent listening to the entrancing voice of Lisa Hannigan, so my lullaby poem before the moon came slithering down
I have never thought of the moon as slithery. To me it is more slippery while my muse is slithery indeed! I have a hard time holding on to her and a harder time still resisting her enchanting ideas. π
An honest mistake Sue .. we had a violent storm and a power outage last night while I doing the first one and I lost internet connection ..
So I redid the article this morning .. and then my computer suddenly discovered the original lost blackout article a couple of hours later π ?? !!
I love the rhythm and rhyme of this poem

I think Lisa Hannigan’s music softly playing in the background is very conducive to pleasant mid afternoon dreams..

βSlithery moonβ – thatβs such an original image, as though there may be silver serpents dancing on its surface: love it!
