An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
A Day At The Race, (is up at Coffee House Writers Magazine)
Hello dear readers and followers, as you may know, I now write for “Coffee House Writers” magazine on a fortnightly basis, and my poem “A Day At The Races”, is in this week’s edition of Coffee House Writers Magazine. … please click on the link below to read my poem at Coffee House Writers … https://coffeehousewriters.com/a-day-at-the-races/
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

ah, the importance of comfort and connection among friends
Awesome photo collage, Ivor! I love the warm, happy smiles. Your poem is overflowing with camaraderie and the joy of escaping the isolation of lockdown. Heartwarming post!
Congratulations on its publication! ❤

Oh, so wonderful, Ivor! The smiles in the photos, your poem (the warmth and joy comes through!), and the lively song share how much we need those times of connection with friends!
After visiting your post here, I feel like I’m floating in the air! It’s a beautiful feeling! 🙂

PATS and RUBS for Sir Frankie!
PS…I always visit your poems at CHW, but it won’t let me leave a comment.
Oh dear Carolyn, your glorious comments have me floating on air too !! CHW have had a few glitches lately… I know they are working on the situation … sometimes comments work via the phone … ((Hugs))
