An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
“Crawling Out of a Dark Void”, is up at Coffee House Writers Magazine
Hello dear readers and followers, as you may know, I now write for “Coffee House Writers” magazine on a fortnightly basis, and my poem “Crawling Out of a Dark Void” is in this week’s edition of Coffee House Writers Magazine. … please click on the link below to visit my poem, at Coffee House Writers . >> https://coffeehousewriters.com/crawling-out-of-dark-void/
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Momentous work. It trembles like a fine string on a classic Stradivarius.
Thank you Punam .. I recall only bits and pieces .. that’s how I wrote my story .. I think my disjointed poem gave the right feeling of being disoriented 😊🌏
This is absolutely beautiful poem, feels uplifting and full of hope, assuring of the healing impending. I can feel the resonance for the life experience you describe as crawl out of our seemingly dark phases.
What a wonderful photo and song to accompany your amazing, heart-touching poem, Ivor!
I can feel the emotions in your words. You’ve captured this perfectly.
I can relate…I’ve done some crawling out of some dark voids slowly before…it IS so like a snail deciding when and where to emerge and then when to try to move forward.
I’m glad you are on the other side now and each day life is renewing and healing.
(((HUGS))) 🙂
PATS and RUBS to Sir Frankie! 🙂
PS…I’ve had a too-busy week and I’m trying to play catch-up on WP now. 🙂
