G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Ivor and The Liberty Bell! 🙂
Oh, you have many more rounds in you, Ivor! Rest in between the bouts! But, keep on swinging when you need to! You have more places to visit, more people to meet, and more poems to pen! 🙂
This is one of your bestest poems! So well expressed! Such great word-pic! Such powerful emotions!
We can all relate! 🙂
(((HUGS))) 🙂
Ah yes .. the Liberty Bell, from when I was in Philadelphia, May, 2019
Thank you for lovely words Carolyn … and I found the music/video by Sigur Ros very moving ..

I have use the song before, but not this video version, which I only discovered yesterday, and I am so pleased I came across it … the dreamy scenario is outstanding .. 🌏😃💛

As long as you are wandering you don’t have to wonder about the writing. It comes from them both. 🙂

That’s the good thing about writing poetry Ivor, you can still do it when you are a little bit older and tired. Keep at it my friend.
