An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Waiting For The Revolving Door
This week the Wednesday Challenge from Weekly Prompts is; OVERTHINK. Please go over and visit their fabulous site by clicking >> Here . And today I have been “Overthinking” to make any sense out of my thoughts during the writing of my poem tonight …
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

And, you get, trapped, in that, cycle of, waiting, and, it, never, ends…
Frankie is such a handsome, happy-looking dog! It must be great to have him waiting for a cuddle, a walk, or to spend some time with you. Give him a hug for me! π π π
From your eloquent, relatable poem, I surmise that you hate waiting as much as I do. No rush on the “revolving door!” The music video is gorgeous and goes well with the wonderful poem.
Hope you are enjoying your summer. Ivor! β€ β€ β€
Frankie is definitely glorious company for me, and he is a happy and friendly doggie πΆ and loves βhugsβ ..
The poem was some words I found in box of old note of hand written rough pieces β¦ so I rehashed the words and my poem was born ππππ€πΆ
Coop and I can relate! Those sweet doggies of ours…they wait mostly patiently…always watching…ready to go…I wonder if they could talk in English if they’d tell us how boring we are! π HA! π Or they might say, “Hurry up now!” π
Sweet photo of Handsome Sir Frankie! Cooper sits like that with one or both of his front paws curled back. π Great, relatable poem, Ivor! Beautiful, poignant music and vid! Gorgeous scenes! Heart-touching words! π
(((HUGS))) π
PATS and RUBS for Sir Frankie! π
Haha β¦ we are just back from our walkie.. and Frankie is happy now. especially when he gets to the lick up the leftover milk in my cereal bowl π ..
Yoann Lemoineβs voice is outstanding on this song Carolyn .. and the lyrics are made for my poem πΆπππ€π
Ivor 20,bless up, I wrote an article on my page, which is ” sense of entitlement “.I will really appreciate if you can read through it and if you find it appealing, you can recommend to others. God bless you plenty.
