G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I must say listening to that song while reading your poem brought tears to my eyes. The message, images, and emotions in your poem are so powerful. ‘Tis an important poem.

Thank you Carolyn .. I listen to the “Poets” a lot … and the song 🎶 had a big influence on the ideas behind the writing of this poem .. Which also gave me the title to my poem “False Kings” and I added “Foolish Czar’s” and then my words and thoughts flowed on from there 💕😊🌏🎶🤔
I concur! Loved the music, too, Ivor. ❤ ❤ ❤ There are a lot of foolish people following foolish czars in many countries. Hope the tide turns soon! The emperor you mention has no clothes!

A very powerful coupling of poem and music. To Taurus’s point I would add those who build the systems which set up those who rise to the top. With no Putin there would be a Lavrov.
