G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Oh, that song Hope by Tim Fain (his violin! 🙂 ) and Sleeping at Last is a fave of mine! Every time I listen to it, it always brings the tears, but it always makes me smile, too. 🙂

Yeah .. the lyrics are truly awesome 👏 … so the song 🎶 was a natural to accompany my happy Haiku 😃🌏💕🤗 .. and Tim’s voice always touches my nerve ends .. whoops it’s raining this morning and Frankie is sleeping in his bed 🐶😴 beside me
Althought it’s cold and wet today, the sun will be back again soon … just the same as for ‘hope’ … same days all seems forlorn, and then with a little boost, hope, returns again .. 😉🌏
That’s, how it goes, when we get, stuck, in the darkness, we always, look forward, and, see that, dim light in the, distance, and, it helps us through somehow…

Feeling, the, warmth of that sun, shining down on us, surely, gives us, that, needed boost of hope for our, separate, futures, that’s, for, certain.
