Towards the Dark (my Nightmare)


One day soon 

After mining the earth dry 

There will no more rubies 

No more diamonds in the sky


Will our silver spoons

Ever stop digging

Towards the dark side of our moon


 

Tonight, we do not need

Our world to be darker



We can learn to survive 

When life teaches us 

The value of being alive

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Thank you Ingrid … sorry I’ve been a bit quiet with my blogging .. my self published ‘Tullawalla’ is in the final stages of editing before it goes to the printers .. Yeah .. and I’m also nearly finished my 29th Tullawalla Booklet .. and here in Geelong I’ve 2 anthology dead lines to meet with my submissions … both due in August … yep – flat trying to get everything done. … Thank you for ongoing support Ingrid 🤗🌏💕
