An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Spring’s Renewal
Hi dear readers, I’ve found another poem that is in my files, but does not appear on my Website … now I am wondering what happened to my website entries between the 16th and 19th of October last year … it’s a mystery to me??
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

It is always a joy to think about spring! To enjoy spring! Spring = hope! 🙂 Such a beautiful poem, Ivor!
And Mr. Waits…YAY! 🙂
(((HUGS))) 🙂

Glad you have documented the ones missing Ivor.
Your poem makes me think of that rhyme we learnt at school ‘spring is sprung the grass is ris I wonder where the birdies is’
Yes Dezzie .. all my poems are stored in my Document Files, but the vaninished WP posts from blog site is a mystery …. and I found another one that is missing from my WP site this morning … they were 3 posts in a row over 3 days … hmmm …. I’ll use this third one for my next submission to Coffee House Writers Magazine … 🤗📘
As my body is now slowly recovering I’m looking forward to a taste spring sunshine tomorrow and I think I’ll take Frankie out for a little walkie and go to our fav’ place, the Box Office Cafe … Yeah … first time for over 3 weeks 🤗🐶💕
Having such ‘easy’ connection with people around the world it is fascinating to me to be preparing for autumn while you are preparing for spring. The ‘real time’ conversations make it more ‘real’. Happy on-coming spring Ivor!
so beautiful and refreshing Ivor!

Isn’t it interesting how the cycles of life work… one person’s life is dying around him while another is bursting into spring!
