G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      1. I watched The Dark Divide movie last weekend, for the third time. This poem and video brought it to mind again this morning, and now again as I read this comment, I wonder if you’ve seen it. Just an incredible scenic exploration, and the themes of forest and trees I believe you’d appreciate. It’s a David Cross performance, comedic.

Our trees 🌲 are so beautiful and so important.. no trees … no human-beans … the photo is from the end of my lane where I take Frankie for our walkies … I love the Twenty One Pilots song 🎶 … my back is sore my progress is very slow and painful but improving … hopefully I’ll be good enough to go out Wednesday night to our Writers monthly dinner get together .. 🤗🌏💕📖🐶

      2. I hope you enjoy the poem Derrick, and that becomes our 40th such collaboration, and my editor/publisher, said 40 pages would be a good amount for a glossy style photo/poem book, and I’ll be submitting the “Perceptions” manuscript to her tomorrow …
