An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Ask a Blade of Grass
Cassa Bassa. “It’s sad but reflecting a side of truth. Ivor’s reply.“Despite humanity’s scientific advancements, their humanitarian skills are nonexistent”
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

And, no matter, how hard we look, and, where we look, no answer will, come, as the wars are, still, going on, because, man have the need to, conquer one another.
Your reply (and your poem) are so sad and such truth. 😦
I can agree and I can relate to your thoughts, and the feelings, in your poem, Ivor.

PS…the lyrics of that song…and the voices, the music…always touch my heart.
It’s sad but reflecting a side of truth.

Peace seems to be unattainable even in our “advanced, enlightened” age. A powerful and profound message, Ivor. I loved the recording, too!

Thank you kindly Cheryl, .. I’m always wondering.. Why are we so profoundly stupid …

W.B Yeats old poem is still so poignantly profound

Unless something we can’t even dream of happens, we will never have peace on this planet. Not as long as ego, inequality and hatred continue to exist.
