Are we the drowned ones?

Lying beside our beach whales

Unable to breathe

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Cool photo! (Who is that fellow?!!!)
Powerful Haiku! Yes, we Human-Beans are hurting all of nature AND ourselves AND future earth. 😦
Lovely vid… “…We are not alone (Good news for my heart)…” I got teary-eyed.

    1. Oh … that’s a photo of Lizzy the Lizard who was Lily’s reincarnation (5 years ago) … we must learn to coexist with nature and not be the destroyers of existence… Nick Cave’s song/video is perfect for my poem 🤗🌏💕🐶🎼🎶

  2. Your words bring about awareness of the current situations in the world right now, i just hope, that your words will, get passed to many others, so maybe, people can, start creating the changes in themselves, then, expand that change, outward.
