G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Thank you Willow β¦ I read this at the lowercase open- mic evening last night and as usual I sold a few Tullawalla books π and one of the happy buyerβs name was βWillowβ π€πππ
πππ for your precious Carole.
A beautiful, yet so sad…but, extremely heart-touching remembrance in poem, Ivor. You got me weeping with this one. I know the memories must be overwhelming at times. I love how you put so many of them…and so many of your deep feelings…into poems. π You help you and you, also, help us who are reading! Thank you, Ivor!
I know she watches over you! I know she is smiling!
(((HUGS))) π
PS….How did the poetry reading night go?
Thank you kindly Carolyn β¦ the reflections of beautiful soul do not fade β¦ oh β¦ the open mic night went really well and I sold 3 Tullawalla books π β¦ π€πππ
Heartbreakingly beautiful, Ivor. I’m so sorry for your loss. They’ll always continue to live in our hearts but we’ll have several moments when we feel like we are starting to forget how they looked like, their voice.. And it’s a very tragic feeling. I can feel your pain

Beautifully expressed.
I wish I’d recorded the voices of special people when they were still alive. It’s the one thing about them I cannot call up.
