Steve the Snail. His Story

Here my “Steve the Snail Story” is from a comment I left on Colleen’s thoughtful article yesterday >> https://bikecolleenbrown.wordpress.com/2022/11/14/any-of-the-story/

Steve the Snail. His Story

I wonder what the story was

Why was Steve the Snail?

Crossing the wet bitumen road

There, by himself

Bravely and slowly sliding along

Determined to reach the other side

Steve’s path was a dangerous one

But the purpose of his journey

Remains locked away

Within the privacy

Of his ‘one-story’ home

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. I heard that Brandi song in 2007 and loved it from day one! 🙂
Oh, my gosh! Your story-poem about Steve is so sensational, Ivor! 🙂
Yes, each creature on Earth (including each Human-Bean) has their story. And often the story speaks of struggles and/or sorrows…so that is why we should always be kind to all creatures on Earth. 🙂

    1. Thank you Carolyn … oh what a sensational song … and her rendition on Joel’s show was outstanding … I was wondering about Steve’s lonely struggle, but then again I don’t have to pry into his story, he knows his purpose in life 🐌🤗🌏📘
