G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. So sweet and fun! HA! Made me laugh! 😀 Oh, the rainy day adventures a dog and his Dad can have together! 🙂 ❤️ This is a fabulous poem, Ivor! 🙂

  2. We seem to be getting more-than-usual regular rains here in the U.S., which is really nice when you love the rain as we do. (Not asking for any floods, but some are getting them.) Your poem reminded me and made me wish for more. All about the ambience.

      1. I can truly imagine, and think it’s so great that we can vicariously live these kinds of moments through the shared experiences of others. They are, at the same, time new and nostalgic, Ivor. Hope you and Frankie are having a lovely day 🐾
