An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Twilight’s Bookends, Published by Geelong Writers, in AnoMaly Street, Anthology
This evening I went to the book launch of The Geelong Writers, Anomaly Street (Poetry With A Difference), a twice-yearly collection of poetry that creates jolts for flatlined minds, and to the editor, Jo Curtain, for selecting my poem. Below is a photo of the poem’s presentation in the book … (my scanner is broken)
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

glad you had a fun evening Ivor! 😁 Congrats on the poem being included in the new anthology 😊😊
YAY! sounds like a fun book launch night!!! 🙂 Congrats to you and all of the poets!!! 🙂
Your poem is so lovely, Ivor…and such a great title!!! Such vivid, emotional images!!! 🙂
Trio-ed with Mr. van Gogh’s painting Starry Night and Mr. McLean’s song Vincent…okay, I’ll admit, I smiled, and then got a bit teary-eyed. 🙂

Thank you Carolyn… there is a live version of Don McLean singing the song 🎶 in the Van Gogh museum, but the sound quality was poor … 🤗🌏😍🎶
