The Resurrection of Shadows


You! It’s time to take cover

Beware! Shadows have changed colour

And are reaching across the ground

Crying to the world, “It’s time to turn around”


Shadows have learned to crawl and walk

In the daylight, they brawl and talk

Shadows are tired of being ignored

And eager to leap off the billboards

Shadows will ascend to fight the evil warlords

And liberate the embattled horde

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. I was trying to get Frankie’s fluffy ears in the shadow pic’ … he’s a good boy and sat there so patiently while I doing the shadow photos … it all started with tree shadow plc’s and then I started taking pic’s of of peoples shadows in the shopping centre … and then I had this crazy idea for a poem … I think it worked out ok, .. I thought it was a bit clunky 🤗😍🌏🐶📖🐾
