Freedom is for the Birds




What to believe 

What our eyes see 

Or what our mind needs




In freedom, our hearts glide with pride 

In chains, our souls cower and hide



 
Is freedom only for the Birds?

Humans, I am lost for words 

Their main appetite is greed 

Without planting any seeds 



Is Freedom still possible?

Or a mission impossible

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  5. Freed isn’t given, it’s taken. We have the power, we just need to wake up and realize that we have been brainwashed not to realize that important fact. If we don’t live free, it’s our own fault, for letting the morons turn us into sheep.

      1. I don’t know where the rest of the word went. LOL Supposed to be freedom. We have to stand up to the government or all is lost and it’s happening seemingly fast, but this has all been in the works for many years. We are just now feeling the results of our non action.
