We met a ‘Pill Millipede’ on our walkie this morning, he was shy and defensive.





I’m a Pill (a Haiku)


Defensively

I roll up into a pill

But don’t swallow me

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  5. HA! I love this! 😀 When I was a little girl I was always fascinated by little bugs. Ha! I still am! And these little roll-up-into-a-ball buggies are so amazing! 🙂 Each living thing in nature is unique and we should care about it. 🙂

Thank you Carolyn… I love the little critters on my walkie track … I have to lie on my tummy to take the pic’s with my iPhone … Frankie licks my face … and then I have trouble getting back up … I think the critters and Frankie both enjoy my antics … the other walkers give me very quizzical looks 😉😆

        All great artists suffer for their art…so getting back up off of the ground is one such thing. 😉 And it doesn’t matter what the other walkers think. 😉 ❤️ (((HUGS))) ❤️
