Dancing In The Rain (an Epigram)

In one way or another

After leaving our mothers

Life delivers us to love and pain

While dancing in the rain

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Oh, my gosh! As always, Kerri’s artistic work is spot on! That would be an outstanding book cover for your new book! 🙂 She is so talented! 🙂
Ivor, your drawing, poem, and Lisa’s song are a sweet trio. Your poem is fantastic and reminds me that amidst the daily “life-rain” and pain…to keep dancin’ through them both!!! 😀 ❤️
Hope you and Sir Frankie are having a good day!!
    (((HUGS))) ❤️❤️

    1. Thank you Ryan … Kerri’s a very courageous and talented young lady … she’s wheelchair bound with SMA, and studied Art at College and works as a Graphic Design Artist … she’s amazing … and she is also doing 10 illustrations for me to appear as the introductory drawings for the 10 chapters in my book 📕

      1. I went over to Philadelphia 4 years ago … and she was the one to encourage me to write my ‘Books’ … “you do the books and I’ll do the Illustrations for you” … yep, we agreed then and there, with a handshake and a hug …
