A Fluffy White Stairway


Gazing above

At the faint fluffy clouds

I see a narrow stairway

Ascending into the sky


I wonder

What happens

At the top of the stairs

Beyond the open doorway

Will the outlook

Be dazzling white

Or a panorama

Of just black

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Yes Ben Howard is wonderful singer/songwriter … l’m not sure what it meant but my cloudy stairway diminished quickly… and my vision evaporated … ?? .. oh darn. Daylight saving has started this morning… I’m an hour behind already … and the wind is howling outside 🌏🤗😍🐶📕😞

    1. Thank you Ryan … I the cloud photo, and then the prompt “Just Black” came up … and my vision flowed from there … and I think we all wonder what happens at the top of the stairway
