G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I like when you write about the night-sky and the moon. It’s so relatable and touches deeply. So many ponderful thoughts come to mind at night, especially after the moon comes out.
This past week the moon has been so bright and golden!
Thank you for sharing this celestial trio of photos, poem, and music, Ivor!

Thank you Carolyn … one of my dreamy after midnight poems … I took the photo at 12.30am … and the moon was struggling to shine through the eclipsing clouds, and then my unusual words kept falling upon my page and so I just went with the flow … I love the Waterboys live performance of this song 🎶, another one from their amazing “An Appointment With Mr Yeats” album … 🎶😊😍🌏🐶🌖🌝📖
Your choice of words, and weaving of words, in this poem made it fun to read out loud (which I like to do with poems)!
The ‘ized words, the vivid word-pics, etc.! 😉
Yeah… I’ve got most of helpful word apps up and running now. especially my favourite ones “Power Thesaurus” and “Rhyme Zone” … and yes I always read my poems out loud to see if the rhythm is flowing okay 😊🌏😍📖🐶
