G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Thank you Carolyn… hopefully the human-beans will change their ways… I’ve planted a number of sunflowers in my courtyard… and I’ll be able sit there and escape from everything and enjoy the beautiful flowers swaying in the sunlit breeze 😊🌏😍🌻🌞
Thanks Sue… another ponderous poem… Frankie is wonderful … I’ve been extra tired and he’s got up and moving and we’re about to go for walkie before dinner … I wrote a poem a the cafe this afternoon and I’m really getting the hang of this dictation app … 🎤🌏😊✍️
I am so pleased to hear you’re gettting on well with the dictation App, I’m glad I mentioned it.
I can’t get it to work on my old laptop it still types gibberish, but it works fine on my Windows 10 computer and the newer Windows 11 laptop.
I agree, animals get us up and about and it’s needed too. 🙂
So sad

Progress comes at a high price much of the time. The video and the song complement your lovely poem, Ivor! ❤

Thank you Cheryl … Progress is part of life, but progress must be achieved with more compassion and compatibility toward the future of life!
