An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Thor’s, Boom Crash Opera
Over at Weekly Prompts the Wednesday Challenge is the word; Timing. To visit their fabulous site please click on >> Here … It was bad “Timing” that Frankie and I got caught in the storm this morning …
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Wonderfully poetic storm, Ivor. And thanks for reminding me Boom Crash Opera was real (and pretty good). Every once in a while the name pops into my head, usually during a storm and not when I can look them up, so I was thinking they were a false memory! 😁
That looks like a moody and powerful storm! Glad you two got home safe!
Powerful poem, Ivor! Great word-pics! Great title! You got our senses ignited…we can hear, see, and feel the storm. Storms can sound musical. 🙂
Cooper used to hate hearing the thunder…he would jump up on the nearest lap to be comforted. 🙂 But now that he’s a well-seasoned pup, with not as keen of hearing, he can’t hear the thunder as well as he used to.
How are you feeling today, Ivor?
(((HUGS))) ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It’s still warm & Salty today but no storms (I think) … 9.30 am and I’m just awake, I’ve had another big sleep in … yep I am still feeling super tired 😴 … but my blood sugar levels are now gradually coming down … the storm is a bit like me at the moment … dark and motionless , and I’ve so much on between now and Christmas … open mic tonight … another twilight market tomorrow … a Christmas party for the ‘Dome’ poets group on Sunday morning … another Christmas party for ‘lowercase’ poetry group on Sunday afternoon … and that’s only in the next 4 days … it’s time for me to put on Christmas faerie gear and sprinkle some faerie dust over myself and get myself into action for the festive season 😊🌏😍🧚🎶🐶❤️🎅
