G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

so sad, isn’t it? but I always have hope for a better and kinder world
Another, year of, global conflict, wars, ignorance of the individual governments, and, it’s still the people who, will, always and, forever get, the, short end of that, “stick”, unfortunately.
A powerful, thought-provoking, heart-touching poem, Ivor. ‘Tis sad. But I will remain hopeful that people will individually seek to be better and more compassionate…which could change the world in positive ways. I wonder if the sun and moon ever talk about hoping human-beans will change?

I know Willow, and tonight I’m writing one about moon … I feel the sun and the moon are our guardians and they would be so disappointed in the way their children are behaving 🥲🌔🌞

Things are not improving … they’ll be a time when the new year will just disappear …

A sad sign of our times, Ivor. I hope the sun rises for all of us this year, and we can sleep better in a peaceful world! Sending you love.💕
