G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Too many! It saddens me deeply! Great poem Ivor! โค
It’s already been too many…way too many. ๐ฆ
A powerful posting, Ivor…of your photo, your heart-touching ponderful poem, and the vids.
(((HUGS))) for you and Sir Frankie!! โค๏ธโค๏ธ
Thank you for thoughtful comments โฆ the photo is of the historic Batesford Bridge which is only a mile away from my place โฆ and I am still waiting at the station for the Peace Train, but it doesnโt seem to be on the Timetable โฆ ๐๐๐๐โฎ๏ธ๐
These are the lessons that we humans, desperately need to, learn as a, species, but, despite how we think we are, the most intelligent “beings”, we can’t learn, because, we lacked, the senses, of understanding and knowing, that, we are NOT in control of anything, not even our own lives, but hey, that is, the flaw in being human beings: we are, completely, BLIND to, the, most, OBVIOUS.
It’s not humanity, it’s the so called “leaders.” Men with power over others. People don’t want war, greedy politicians and rulers do. A few, kill the many and the many, seem unable to fight back. As long as people allow war, it will continue.

AS many as there are…it doesn’t seem as if we can stop the evil ones from killing everyone, while they stay safe and well protected.

Painfully far too many Nigel … it looks like the children will again be left abandoned at the Station, waiting for their dream-time Peace Train. …

The so called leaders are too greedy to listen to be compassionate overseers of anything โฎ๏ธ
