Chromatic Light

High noon, Lithium Light. Afternoon, Platinium Light. Dusk, Golden Light

Chromatic Light

Early in the morning

I witnessed a theatrical titanium light

Puncture the dawn sky

High noon

Under a hot searing sun

I felt the lucent lithium light

Boil the blood in my heart

Mid-afternoon

Within the fiery furnace

I watched the perennial platinum light

Fuse my soul to the ground

Dusk

Above the shimmering horizon

I wished the global golden light

Would enshroud a peaceful world tonight

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Oh! What wonderful color/names for the different times of light! 🙂
    Your poem is perfection! ❤️
I enjoy the light’s (sun and moon) various moods and presentations in each 24 hour day. 🙂
