The night is not always dark

You know

The moon has a bright side

The other side hides

in the Sun’s shadow


An icy pond’s reflection

Has the wrong image

Of whom was right

And grey clouds have rainbows

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  11. So true, as there are, always, two, sides of the interpretations of things, one that’s, brighter, the other, darker, it all depends, on how we see things, and that becomes, the, determinants of, how our lives, turn, out.

    Rainbows with the grey cloud backdrop are even more bright and spectacular!

    1. Thank you Carolyn … I was nearly going to send this one over to Coffee House Writers, however, I chose another poem instead … It’ll be published in 2 weeks’ time … The poet’s quill has been very active lately, … 💛🌏🎵🌝😍🌓
