Is There Peace On the Horizon? (a Tanka)

Over at Weekly Prompts, the Wednesday Challenge is: Sunset … you may visit their fabulous site by clicking on >> Here.
My poem is about “Twilight”, just after Sunset.

Is There Peace On the Horizon?
(a Tanka)

The pink twilight sky

And the bluestone clouds unite

At the horizon

Nature’s colours interact

Without fighting for the light

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. When so much has been stretched bare and others overcome โ€ฆ itโ€™s time to release. Mother Nature knows how, but our ego mind is such a stubborn entity, and will hold on in order to protect what it believes in. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ž

  2. I pray (and hope) so!
    What a wonderful posting, Ivor!
So often, nature is exemplifying peace, cooperation, caring, team-work, etc., if only we human-beans would pay attention and live/act in kind.
