Twilight Time

Twilight Time

Photogenically
As the setting sun
Folded into the horizon
The half-moon shimmered
Like a white wave
Upon a sapphire ocean

And simultaneously
Nature’s adaptable birds
Painted winged silhouettes
On the chromatic
Twilight sky

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Yes. I thought of that song too, but the Moody Blues video/song pictorially suited my poem and very pleased you liked my picturesque poem Sue πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜πŸ“˜πŸŽΆπŸŒ

    1. Thank you for your beautiful comments Carolyn … I love taking photos on our walkies, and I was lucky enough to capture these twilight pictures just before it got too dark, and Frankie was keen to get home for his ‘din ‘dins’ … πŸŒπŸ˜πŸΆπŸ˜ŽπŸŒžπŸŒ—
