An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Discombobulated and Disorganised
Discombobulated and Disorganised
After a memorable and mischievous Saturday And a meaningful poetry meeting on Sunday Iβm suffering Mondayitis I am feeling muddled and misplaced today
Here, at the Box Office Cafe Frankie and I are debriefing ourselves In preparation for βourβ book launch on Wednesday Yes! Frankie will be there, centre stage Wearing his winter jacket and ready to recite his poem From βmyβ book, βUntil Eyes Hear Soundβ
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I have Mondayitis too!
Weβll live!
How exciting! I hope you and Frankie enjoy an awesome book launch!
I hope to be able to launch some books one day too.
Hahaha, I also have a terrible time with abridgement!
Actually, my first comment was a slight alteration of a theater blessing we use here. Since it’s supposed to be bad luck to say “good luck” before a performance, we say, “Break a leg!” instead. Since you are a poet, I changed it a little.
I hope the Mondayitis goes away!
Oh! Sir Frankie looks rarin’ to go and I KNOW he will keep you on track, Ivor! π He’s there as your right-hand man and to give you courage, calm, and cheer! π
Bestest wishes for your book launch and hope you have fun, too!

Thank you very much for your kind words and support … after 9.00 pm here, and I’m tiring … the bulk of the preparation is done, so I’ll rest now and finish off things in the morning … and show doesn’t start until 6.00 pm tomorrow πππ

WOW!!! That was quite a job Frankie did on that door. Glad you found a neater solution. Thereβs always some kind of daily cleanup with our furbabies. Always totally worth it!! π©·
