G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Such a lovely trio…photos, Haiku, and song/vid! Wow! How wonderful when the dragonflies come to visit! 🙂

PS…”Dragonflies remind us of the beauty in transformation and the magic in life’s journey.” 🙂

  2. I call them pretty but I know they are vicious and if they were bigger we would all be dead. They literally eat other dragonflies and anything else they can gnaw on. So, I look at them, let them land on me, and talk to them, knowing that I’m bigger than they are, and hope they never get big enough to eat all of us for a snack.

      1. LOL Only because they are smaller than you are. I never knew that about them. They are so vicious. I thought they were sweet and beautiful. They are beautiful but they are killers, according to scientific studies.
