G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. What gorgeous photos, Ivor! Nature sure put on a theatrical show for you! πŸ™‚ Your wonderful Haiku captures it beautifully! πŸ™‚

Lilac is such a lovely color…so peaceful AND inspiring! πŸ™‚

That song touches me deeply! I love how poems, books, songs, movies, etc. can help us deal with the harshness in the world and the pain in our lives. This song always inspires and encourages me to have hope…to keep moving forward…to let go of worries. etc. πŸ™‚

I value and so greatly appreciate light in our world (physical light/sun and moon, man-made lights/candles, lamps, electric bulbs, etc., AND the light that shines through people to help us)! πŸ™‚ Thank you for being a light in the world, Ivor…it even shines through your writings! πŸ™‚

    1. Oh, thank you for lovely comments Carolyn … I was the privileged one to have a front row seat in Nature’s magnificent theatre, and wow what a spectacular show! πŸ˜ŽπŸŒžπŸŒπŸ€—πŸŽΌπŸ˜’ … the Sleeping at Last song 🎢 seemed so appropriate, I’m pleased you appreciated my choice … I am continually amazed by the light and colour that illuminates my surroundings, and of course after attending the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition I understand even more about how everything in our world is connected πŸ€—πŸŒπŸ˜ŽπŸŽΌπŸ˜πŸΆ
