Market Day

Market Day

The weather was not kind
For our Makers Market Day
The afternoon was wet with an icy wind
Which naturally kept the crowd away

I did not sell any books
But again, my poem lucky Dip pot
It was an intriguing and delightful success
As all the envelopes contained my web address
And I had some happy customers
Who said they followed my website
Their kind words have made my night

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Oh, so sorry to hear the bad weather kept people away! 😦
But, oh, so happy to hear you made some new friends and website-followers! More people reading your poetry is a huge success! They need to read and digest and apply to life what you have to say, Ivor! 🙂
It looks like there were many interesting and wonderful treasures at the market! 🙂

    1. Good morning Carolyn … me and Frankie are in bed resting and recovering … it was long and tiring day … selling books is good but not the most important thing … meeting and chatting to customers is very delightful experience … I got home at 6.30, the sun had set, but it was just light enough to take Frankie for a walkie … and he was so happy … 🐶🤗🌏😍💕📗

    1. Thank you kindly Nancy … and I had another fabulous day at the market, meeting and chatting to those who stop to get a luck dip poem and the many visitors who perused my poetry books 📚 📗🤗🌏😍
