Live and Let Die
The misty Full Moon sighed
My garden Magpie cried
And the Twilight Bunnies
In a startled stride
Ran away to hide
The Titan Arum* flower had died
And with compassionate pride
I felt like a loveless bride
Speechless and teary-eyed
* Titan Arum, the Corpse Plant.

Nicely done, Ivor. That corpse plant puts on quite a show in its “fifteen minutes of fame!”

Life is so fleeting.
‘Tis sad…but such joy, encouragement, and beauty the amazing Corpse plant shares during it’s time on earth. No matter our number of days, we should all share these same positive things (and more) with nature and with our fellow human-beans. 🙂

Time to relative and time is infinite … the flower’s time of a few days was in the plant’s time, a “lifetime” … in actual “Flower-time” it could be a hundred years! … like a year for “us” is ‘seven-years’ for a “doggie” ,,, thank you for your lovely words Carolyn 🤗🌏🌺💕🎶🐶

Live and Let Die…great song. All the Bond songs are terrific and that’s what it’s all about in the end…Live and let die. Lovely poem.

Beautiful and dramatic, Ivor! The Corpse plant had its day and it’s parting is such sweet sorrow. Your choice of music is perfect. 🥀
