AW! So lovely! What amazing descriptive words that you weaved so brilliantly into a poem that touches deeply to the heart and soul! Listening to that music and viewing your beautiful photos and reading your poem I got tears in my eyes…brought on by the beauty and emotions in your words. Pass the tissues, please.

Thank you for your awesome comments, Carolyn … originally, I only had a couple of “escent” words, but then I extended it to one on each line, (with my old Oxford Dictionary close beside me) … and I was struggling for a Title, but when I found the special definition of “Quintessence” , the fifth and highest element after air and earth and fire and water; was believed to be the substance composing all heavenly bodies, my Title was ‘solved’ … sadly, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, died at only 46, in 2017 … Singing predominantly in his Galpu, Gumatj or Djambarrpuynu language, his was a voice that transcended words, and one that the country, and the world was in awe of. … I had the pleasure of watching him sing at the Port Fairy Folk Music Festival in March 2013 … 🌏📘🎵💙
