“One Day” at a Time/or, Is There Time?

Time to relax
Time for coffee and a snack
Time for observing
Time for listening

Time is neither lost nor found
Time rebounds
Without a sound

Time cannot be unwound
Time is all around

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Sometimes I get ragged because there is never enough time for us to really live our lives. When I look back at the past 70 years I can’t believe how much time I’ve spent not aware of the time I was spending. Maybe that’s why I’m a mental case now (half joking) … I’m so busy living each moment that my psyche can’t handle it all! Your poems are always so inspirational. Thank you.

    1. Thank you for giving your time to write your wonderful comments, Claudia … time is an elusive phenomena, and wondrous subject… an extrasensory element that is difficult to quantify 💙🌏📘🎆
      Time is here and now
Time is the Universe’s eternal vow …

  2. Because time is, continual, we often get, misled into believing, that we will, always have more of it, we end up, wasting our days away, and, when we realize, that time had, run short, it’s, usually, too late, for us to, do everything we want to in our, lives, and that, is the lesson that time teaches us, which we don’t ever, learn.
