Is This the Right Time?

Is This the Right Time?

we slept in this morning
we are behind time

or are we on time
for whatever time
decreed by time
to be the right time

time is neither more nor less
time is endless

there are many times
we need a hand
but time hears no command

time is here and now
time is the universe’s eternal vow

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Oh wow, have you joined the queue yet, one of days I went it took me 3 hours to get a glimpse of the “Corpse” … but well worth the wait, the plant is awesomely “big and smelly” … πŸ’™πŸŒπŸŒ»

      1. Unfortunately no. It’s not possible for me to stand in line for an extended period of time because I am limited by the arthritis in my neck. I’m fine when I’m walking but standing in one place or waiting in line is impossible. We took a drive to Brooklyn yesterday to scope out the situation; the line went through the entire building, out onto the street and around the corner! I was shocked how many people were even aware of the exhibit. At least I can say I tried and I got close! My son, daughter-in-law and 3 teenage grandchildren were there today and they told me it was the weirdest thing they have ever seen! 😎

    1. Thank you very much, Carolyn, … I seem to be in a time zone at the moment, but it is a fascinating invisible element to write about … Frankie likes sleeping in … πŸΆπŸ’•πŸ’™πŸ“˜πŸŒπŸŽ΅

  2. A fine reflection on time. For the first time this year I have not altered my watch to comply with the British Summer Time regulation. Now I only have a couple of months of mental arithmetic each time I look at it.
