The Skyβs Silver Screen
The stormβs bulging darkness
Has burst itβs bubble
Lashing me with fat drops
And sharp pieces of white rubble
Meanwhile
Low in the gloomy twilight sky
I see the sunβs Venetian slats of light
Develop into a radiant rainbow
Over the cloudβs crying eye
Then startlingly
The illustrious rain beans
Began to perform like glitzy stars
Dancing across the skyβs silver screen

What a beautiful poem filled with wonderful images and deep emotion, Ivor! I love it!
Nature sure knows how to put on a show…often I think it is to get us Human-beans to slow down, take a deep breath, feel, AND be grateful we are alive to see the show. π
Lovely photos!
Fabulous song choice!

Thank you very much for your lovely words, Carolyn … nature sure put on a spectacular show, and there we were right in the middle of it, centre stage, and walking in the summer rain … we got drenched, but my imagination for words wasn’t quenched … I loved being able to snap the shots of the shiny rain drops … and I was ecstatic to discover Neil Young’s fabulous song … ππππππ΅ππΆπ
