Over at Weekly Prompts, the Weekend Challenge is the word Pookie. Please visit their fabulous site by clicking on >> Here.
“Pookie” is a common euphemism for something cute. Well, I suppose my ‘strange orange rocks’ or my ‘smiling moon’ could be cute.
Don’t Blame the Moon
I see strange orange rocks
Among the fallen branches and leaves
Discerningly, time reminds me
They were not there yesterday
Enquiringly, I look up to the sky
And I see the moon smiling at me
As if to say, “Don’t blame me”

I think we tend to blame our problems on anything else but ourselves … 🌗😎😊

Blame it on the bossa nova!
Lovely verse and vid, dear Ivor. Here’s a little ode to Mr. Moon. 🎶🌝🎶

The blame game is kind of pointless anyway, Ivor. My late husband used to say, “Blame is irrelevant!” That is something I’ve always remembered. 😄🕊️💕💐

We started calling him that the day he was born. He’s all grown up but doesn’t mind all of us calling him Pookie. ❤️

Great photos…very pookie-ish! 😉 Sweet poem…I laughed. 😀
I can’t think of anything the moon is guilty of…I find the moon to be faultless…a dear friend and so much more. 🙂

I’m really pleased you liked this one, Carolyn … it’s 9.00 Sunday evening here, I’ve been writing all weekend, and I’m almost exhausted [I must have rocks in my head – hence my whimsical poem] … I’ve been doing some ‘Anthology’ submissions … lots … there seems to be no rest for this old poet’s quill … so, I’ve done very little blogging lately … Oh well, I’m nearly finished, and I’ll be able to relax at the Cafe tomorrow … 💛🌏🌓😎📘🖋😍📃🐶
