Illuminated (a Tanka)


On Thursday evening I attended the Lowercase Poetry Open Mic night, and after the event was finished I went down the road to check out the Creative Geelong “Third Space Gallery”, which I had not seen before at night. Wow, as the saying goes, “It was lit up like a Christmas tree” …

The neon spotlights
illuminated my words
and the art display
in the “Third Space Gallery”
like a hit show on Broadway

  11. I love that the spotlight and lights are on your words, your poem! I’m so glad so many people can see it and read it! It’s one that certainly has impacted me in a positive way! 🙂
    And I like this second poem about the display of the first poem! Hit Broadway show indeed! Worthy of The Tony Award! 🙂
