Our Day at The Market

Our Creative Geelong Market Day was a very warm 33’C. However, we were comfortable enough, and with Frankie’s friendly demeanor and help we still managed to sell a fair few books.

Our bookstall, and Frankie overseeing the setting up …

Adele and her fabulous hand-painted denim jackets …”Twilight” and “Ekphrastic” were inspired by her perusing my books at our previous market day.

A painting I purchased from our adjacent stall holder, Jen McElwee. And an embroidered card that she gifted me, with my poem “Dreams of the Heart” that she copied from my book “Tullawalla”

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Market Day! Hooray! What amazing and wonderful authors and artists and their creative creations! A lovely variety! So sweet that your poems inspired other artists and their art, Ivor! πŸ™‚ Once again, Frankie seems to be doing his job well! πŸ˜‰

Oh, gosh… 😦 that song/vid touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Such a sadness…the suicide of anyone, but especially a child. Such a powerful, heartbreaking story. Yet, bringing us to a place of hopefully solace and hope.
    Amble…3 amazing songwriters and singers.

    1. Thank you very much, Carolyn… Frankie was again the star of the show … πŸΆπŸ“˜ he is quite a salesman … Oh … The song had nothing to do with my Market Day, but as the topic is very close to heart at the moment, πŸŽΆπŸ˜ŠπŸŒπŸ˜πŸ’•πŸ“˜
