Today, my world drowned
When the twilight moon knelt down
Upon the wet ground
Then wearily, I witnessed
To the sun’s final display

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Lol, the picture tells the story … we’ve been so busy, marked day, Van Gogh trip, travel agent appointments (and again today), my writing commitments, and of course Frankie’s walkies (3 times a day) … but we have just had a much needed restful sleep in … and my adrenaline flow is back to normal … 🤗🌏😍🐶

    Your photo is so cute! It looks like you are saying, “If the sun is going to bed now, so shall I.” 🙂
    All of your Dad’s other photos are wonderful! 🙂
    And his poem is so relatable…and filled with vivid images and emotions. We all get weary. And the more well-seasoned we get, with each passing year, the wearier-y we get. (HA! 😀 )
    The Hozier song is fabulous…I’ve been listening to him sing for 13 years now.

    1. Woof, woof, we were very tired, and this morning we had a big sleep in … 🐶😊😴🌏 … my dad is always listening to Hozier, and I like him too, his sound flows smoothly into my floppy ears … 🐶🌞💕😎
