G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Frankie does look weary. A lovely Tanka, Ivor.π
Poor Frankie does not have a very good poker face! There’s no mistaking he’s downright worn out! We are not always at the top of our game, dear Ivor, but you hit it out of the park with your lovely tanka and Hozier piece. Thanks, dear Ivor! Take good care. π₯°π€πΆβΎοΈππΆπ΄ππ
Lol, the picture tells the story β¦ weβve been so busy, marked day, Van Gogh trip, travel agent appointments (and again today), my writing commitments, and of course Frankieβs walkies (3 times a day) β¦ but we have just had a much needed restful sleep in β¦ and my adrenaline flow is back to normal β¦ π€πππΆ
Aw, sweet sweet Frankie! I hope you and your Dad got some good rest/sleep!
Your photo is so cute! It looks like you are saying, “If the sun is going to bed now, so shall I.” π
All of your Dad’s other photos are wonderful! π
And his poem is so relatable…and filled with vivid images and emotions. We all get weary. And the more well-seasoned we get, with each passing year, the wearier-y we get. (HA! π )
The Hozier song is fabulous…I’ve been listening to him sing for 13 years now.
(((HUGS))) to your Dad! π β€οΈ
PATS and RUBS to you, Frankie! π β€οΈ
Woof, woof, we were very tired, and this morning we had a big sleep in … πΆππ΄π … my dad is always listening to Hozier, and I like him too, his sound flows smoothly into my floppy ears … πΆπππ
Thank you kindly, Eugi π my tiredness has been a combination, too much writing, too much blogging, too many commitments, and Iβm many years older than fifty one ππππ
Ivor, gorgeous photos! Frankie is handsome and photogenic even when he is sleepy! Beautifully written poem. You will need all your energy for your trip to Canada! π π¨π¦ 𧑠πΆπ₯°

Yes it was a very tiring weekend; physically exhausted and mentally overexcited, has me showing my age πππ

I don’t like it when the sun goes away. We see so little of it. I want to hold on to as much of it as I can.
