Intoxicating

Eugi’s poem

impulsive nature
lauds summer in floral dress
intoxicating

Intoxicating

Moonlight candles do not cry
And nature never tells a lie

Amber sunsets deny
There is no final goodbye

The pink twilight sky
Knowingly decries
“Tomorrow does not die”

With every breath, I sigh
The universe is my high

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Thank you for your wonderful and lovely words, Carolyn … we are experiencing some very cold twilights at the moment but as you can see it is all well worth rugging up to be a part of nature’s spectacular show πŸ˜πŸŒπŸŒ”πŸ˜ŠπŸΆπŸŽΆ

    1. When me and Frankie are walking at twilight time, we are in that dreamy zone between the surreal universe of nature and real world of being grounded among life’s farrows and shadows πŸŽΆπŸ˜πŸ“–πŸŒπŸ˜ŠπŸ₯°πŸ–ΌοΈπŸŒ”πŸŒž

    1. I hope I didn’t hit you too hard, although I’m only a little fella, and at my age, they would be like cosmic cream-puffs … thank you for wonderfully wily words, David πŸŒ”πŸŒπŸ˜Š
