Life, Beyond the Lines


Life’s a continual battle
but the battle lines
are there to be crossed

Life’s wondrous museum
inspires me to keep exploring
the universe’s grand Colosseum

I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  9. Such a wonderful, ponderable, encouraging poem to go with your photos, the prompts-photos, and that song/vid! Bon Iver always makes me feel so deeply…soul-touching.

    Yes, we must keep exploring, discovering, learning, sharing, helping, persevering! All of that helps us deal with life’s battles.

    1. Thank you for your very thoughtful words, Carolyn … I had already written the poem before I saw Sadje’s prompt photos but my words seemed quite appropriate and my bird photos were a perfect match for my Title 😊😍🌏🦅🎶🐶
