Throwback Friday, Five Shades of Grey

Here in Geelong we have been experiencing a wintry blast over the last few days, so appropriately I have chosen “Five Shades of Grey” for my Throwback Friday poem. I originally wrote the poem in April 2019




Five Shades of Grey

Daylight turns into night
Ravens scatter in mid-flight
Dark clouds overlay
Five shades of grey
Thor’s hammer roars
His spark of fire, soar
Fiercely, a flaming bolt strikes
Piercing frightened psyches

  5. And we are exactly the polar opposite! Extremely hot summer days but now the sky has turned dark gray to black and a big rain will come then back to blazing heat !

    Grey can be moody and, also, elegant. 🙂

    1. My favourite saying, “Grey clouds have rainbows” 🌈 … thank you for your lovely words about my old poem, which I wrote just before I went to New York/Philadelphia, April 6 years ago … wow … and I am going to Canada in 8 weeks time
