An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Throwback Friday, Five Shades of Grey
Here in Geelong we have been experiencing a wintry blast over the last few days, so appropriately I have chosen “Five Shades of Grey” for my Throwback Friday poem. I originally wrote the poem in April 2019
Five Shades of Grey
Daylight turns into night Ravens scatter in mid-flight Dark clouds overlay Five shades of grey Thorβs hammer roars His spark of fire, soar Fiercely, a flaming bolt strikes Piercing frightened psyches
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Perfect lyrical accomplishment to a few gray daysπ
And we are exactly the polar opposite! Extremely hot summer days but now the sky has turned dark gray to black and a big rain will come then back to blazing heat !
Perfect pix, perfect verse and perfect video. 2Cellos is spectacular; excellent choice for Five Shades of Grey! π»π€πΆποΈπΆπ₯°ποΈπ§πππ

Picturesque photos, powerful poem, and a vividly amazing video with marvelous music! Love this trio, Ivor! I can see, hear and feel the essence of a storm in each of them!
Grey can be moody and, also, elegant. π
